Xendit, a Jakarta-based payments infrastructure company focused on Southeast Asia, said on September 8 that it promoted Nazim Ali to president.

He will oversee legal, risk, compliance, and operations, alongside his existing responsibility for the company’s global go-to-market function as Xendit expands beyond the region.

Ali will continue to lead Xendit’s global go-to-market efforts.

Founder and CEO Moses Lo said the new structure is meant to reduce handoffs between growth teams and control functions, while giving him more capacity to pursue the company’s plans.

For regional context, Xendit previously said it expanded to Thailand. Its XenPlatform page is localized for Vietnam, and its licenses page is too.
