Xendit integrates Dragonpay into regional network
Singapore-based payments firm Xendit said on July 8 that it had integrated Dragonpay, a Filipino payments company, into its regional network, making Dragonpay part of Xendit.
The companies previously announced a strategic investment in August 2021, when Xendit Philippines took an equity stake in Dragonpay as part of a partnership rather than a full acquisition.
Founded in 2010, Dragonpay supports 905 merchants and works with 44 partners, including banks, non-bank financial institutions, e-wallets, and over-the-counter channels, according to Xendit.
Dragonpay said merchants can accept payments through online banking, e-wallets, credit cards, and over-the-counter payment centers.
Xendit said Dragonpay merchants can now use its platform for more than 100 payment methods, payouts, cross-border payments, and financing.
Xendit and Dragonpay also said both are Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas-registered operators of payment systems in the Philippines.
The move is also part of Xendit’s regional expansion, following its initial investment in Malaysia’s Payex in 2023 and full acquisition in 2025.
