Social media platform X has raised the price of its Premium+ subscription service.

In the US, the monthly fee has increased from US$16 to US$22, and the annual cost has risen from US$168 to US$229.

Current subscribers will keep their existing rates until January 20.

Similar price hikes are seen globally, with the European Union seeing a rise to €21 (US$21.9) and Canada to CAD$29 (US$20.2).
