Wikimedia registered after sanctions loomed

• Komdigi pressed Wikimedia after enforcement steps and possible sanctions, not through routine outreach alone 12.
• On February 25, 2026, the government placed limited restrictions on auth.wikimedia.org. That paused account-based actions like editing and creating articles 2.
• Komdigi took that step after a notice in November 2025 and three extension requests from Wikimedia. The restriction took effect at the end of February 2026 1.
