WeWork India IPO draws just 4% subscription on first day

WeWork India’s IPO opened on October 3, 2025 with weak demand, as only 4% of 25.5 million shares were subscribed on the first day.

The Bengaluru-based flexible workspace provider is offering a 3,000 crore rupees (US$338 million) IPO, which will close on October 7, 2025.

Qualified institutional buyers showed little interest, subscribing to just 2% of their allotted shares, with mutual funds participating but no foreign institutions, banks, or insurers bidding.

High-net-worth investors also subscribed to only 2% of their reserved shares, while retail investors took 14% and employees 90% of their set-aside portion.

Before the IPO, WeWork India raised 1,348 crore rupees (US$152 million) from anchor investors, including domestic mutual funds and global firms like Goldman Sachs and Allianz, in a fully offer-for-sale deal by promoters and investors.
