WeChat begins beta test for Huawei OS

On Tuesday, WeChat initiated beta testing for its platform on HarmonyOS NEXT, an operating system developed by Huawei.

The beta rollout includes specific models from the Huawei Mate series: Mate 60, Mate X5, and the MatePad Pro 13.2-inch.

Invited users can upgrade to HarmonyOS NEXT and evaluate WeChat features such as messaging, audio and video calls, the Moments social feed, and QR code payment capabilities.
