Waymo said to near $16b funding round at $110b valuation

Waymo is nearing the completion of a US$16 billion funding round that would value the autonomous vehicle company at about US$110 billion, according to the Financial Times.

More than 75% of the funding is expected to come from Alphabet, Waymo’s parent company.

New investors include Dragoneer, Sequoia Capital, and DST Global, while existing backers Andreessen Horowitz and Mubadala are also participating.

A Waymo spokesperson told that the company declined to comment on private financial matters and is focused on safety and technological leadership, citing over 20 million trips completed.

The FT reports that Waymo has more than US$350 million in annual recurring revenue. It last raised a US$5.6 billion series C in 2024, valuing the company at US$45 billion.
