Vodafone announced Tuesday an enhancement to its strategic partnership with Google, formalizing a decade-long agreement valued at US$1 billion or more.

This collaboration will facilitate the rollout of the search engine giant’s generative AI devices, such as advanced smart speakers and smartphones, across Vodafone’s customer base in Europe and Africa.

Under the agreement, Vodafone will improve access to Google’s AI-powered Pixel devices through its 5G network.

Vodafone plans to introduce Google One AI Premium subscription plans, offering services like Gemini Advanced in selected countries by 2025.
