VinFast, a Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, is investing up to US$2 billion to establish its first manufacturing facility in India, with construction starting this year.

Expected to generate up to 3,500 local jobs, the project will focus on EV and battery manufacturing. As part of the deal, VinFast is committing US$500 million for the first five years and planning to set up a countrywide dealership network.
