VinFast, Gowa target 30 Indonesia showrooms in JV

VinFast said on August 17 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with Indonesia’s Gowa Motor Group, an automotive distributor and dealership operator, to set up a joint venture.

The venture will develop VinFast’s dealership network in Indonesia, targeting at least 30 showrooms and service centers.

The Vietnamese electric vehicle maker said the move was part of its expansion in Indonesia’s EV market.

Gowa Motor Group operates automotive distribution and dealership businesses in Indonesia for passenger and commercial vehicles.

VinFast said it has more than 40 showrooms in Indonesia and plans to add more than 150 in the coming years.

The company also said it has started operating its manufacturing facility in Subang and is working with partners in charging, ride-hailing, financial services, service workshops, and dealerships.
