Green SM, a Vietnam-based electric ride-hailing platform, has launched Green Limo, a six-seat electric taxi service in Jakarta, and introduced a vehicle rental program for drivers as it expands in Indonesia.

The service uses Limo Green vehicles and adds to Green SM’s existing Green Car and Green Premium offerings.

The company had previously launched motorbike services in Indonesia, its first market outside Vietnam.

Green SM said it would hand over the first batch of 500 Limo Green vehicles in Jakarta from September 19 to 29.

Under the rental program, drivers can join with an initial payment of 2 million rupiah (US$110) and daily rental fees of 254,000 rupiah (US$14).

The company also said first-time Green Limo users would get 20% off one trip, capped at 50,000 rupiah (US$2.8) from September 19 to October 3.
