Bonbon Mobility, a Vietnam-based online-to-offline platform connecting car owners with garages and car-care providers, has raised US$500,000 in a pre-seed round led by Tasco, with Southeast Asia-focused investor GenAI Fund participating, the companies said.

Bonbon emerged from Tasco Foundry Wash3000, a venture-building program run by Tasco and GenAI Fund to identify, test, and deploy solutions for Vietnam’s automotive service value chain.

The company said the funding will support further development of its technology platform, expansion of its partner garage and car-care network, improvements to user experience, and a broader service portfolio.

Bonbon was built as a digital layer on top of existing service providers rather than as a new chain of physical outlets.

The round also gives Bonbon backing from Tasco, whose automotive ecosystem includes VETC and other vehicle-related services.

GenAI Fund and Tasco said Bonbon was built to address a fragmented market that the program estimated has more than 12,500 car-wash and vehicle-care facilities.
