US video game Take-Two sets November launch for GTA VI
Take-Two Interactive, a US video game publisher, said Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on November 19, 2026, easing concerns about another delay after the title slipped from fall 2025 and then from May 2026.
CEO Strauss Zelnick said marketing will start this summer, when the company also expects to share pricing and pre-order details.
Take-Two shares rose about 7% in after-hours trading in New York, while Zelnick said recent console price hikes were not ideal but he did not expect broader industry issues before launch.
The company forecast US$8 billion to US$8.2 billion in bookings for fiscal 2027, below analyst estimates of about US$9.1 billion, and said Zynga would likely contribute less after a stronger year earlier.

🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
Take-Two’s cautious US$8 billion outlook in context
- Take-Two expects fiscal 2027 net bookings of US$8.0 billion to US$8.2 billion, about 20% above the US$6.72 billion it recorded in fiscal 2026 1.
- That range sits below some analyst forecasts because the company expects mobile recurrent consumer spending to ease after a record year for Zynga’s mobile games business 1.
- Profitability may matter more to investors, with more than US$1 billion in operating cash flow expected in fiscal 2027 after a GAAP net loss of US$298.2 million in fiscal 2026 2.
Grand Theft Auto VI could reset premium game prices
- Analysts broadly expect Grand Theft Auto VI to debut at US$80, up from the US$70 now common for most top-tier video games 3.
- If players accept that price, publishers such as Electronic Arts and Activision Blizzard may feel freer to lift prices on their own flagship releases worldwide.
- Its sales will also test the console market, since a hit on Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X|S could spur hardware demand where the game is set to launch first 2.
