Victory Giant, WUS ramp up AI PCB investment
In the first half of 2026, more than 20 Chinese printed circuit board makers disclosed capacity expansion plans as demand rose for high-end boards used in AI servers, a push that could take sector capital spending to a record high.
Huizhou-based Victory Giant Technology, a PCB manufacturer in Guangdong province in southern China, raised first-quarter capital expenditure to 3.6 billion yuan (US$530 million) from 730.1 million yuan (US$107 million) a year earlier.
Kunshan-based WUS Printed Circuit, a PCB maker in Jiangsu province in eastern China, more than doubled spending to 1.5 billion yuan (US$221 million) from 658.1 million yuan (US$96.8 million).
The surge was driven by a shift toward the high-end boards required for AI servers.
These PCBs can require 18+ layers, use 4–8 step HDI (high-density interconnect) structures, and rely on high-frequency, high-speed materials.
China already makes six of 10 PCBs globally, increasing the potential supply-chain impact of the factory build-out.
