Venturi Partners raises $150m for consumer brands

Venturi Partners has raised US$150 million in the first close of its second fund, with a final target of US$225 million by June 2026.

The Singapore- and Mumbai-based firm invests in consumer brands across India and Southeast Asia.

Venturi Partners plans to invest US$15 million to US$40 million in up to 10 companies in high-growth consumer sectors from fund II, and will allow co-investment alongside the main fund.

The firm closed its first fund at US$180 million in June 2022, with portfolio companies including Livspace, Country Delight, Believe, Pickup Coffee, Dali, K-12 Techno Services, and JQR.

Venturi Partners was founded in 2020 and focuses on series B to D stage investments in the region.

🧠 Food for thought

1️⃣ Fund sizing reflects disciplined approach amid strong regional growth

Venturi’s Fund II strategy shows careful capital allocation despite robust market conditions in their target regions.

The firm is targeting a smaller final fund size of $225 million compared to Fund I’s $180 million final close in June 2022, while maintaining the same investment approach of $15-40 million initial investments across 10 companies 12.

This disciplined sizing comes despite compelling market fundamentals, such as India’s GDP projected to grow 6.4-6.7% in fiscal 2025-2026 and consumer spending in Southeast Asia and India expected to grow 122% over the next decade 34.

The approach suggests Venturi is prioritizing deployment efficiency over fund size maximization, potentially learning from Fund I’s portfolio companies like Livspace, which raised $90 million in 2020 but faced challenges in scaling profitably 5.

2️⃣ Consumer spending momentum validates sector-focused investment thesis

The timing of Venturi’s fundraise aligns with accelerating consumer demand across their core markets.

India led regional FMCG spending growth at 7.1% in Q1 2025, while Southeast Asia outpaced the regional average with 4.1% growth, demonstrating the structural tailwinds Venturi aims to capture 6.

This consumer momentum extends beyond essential goods. India is projected to add 75 million middle-income and 25 million affluent households by 2030, creating a substantial addressable market for the premium consumer brands that typically fit Venturi’s investment profile 3.
