Vast Data, a US-based data infrastructure company, announced DataEnclave in Singapore on September 23.

The product lets enterprises run AI models on sensitive data inside their own data centers or on trusted cloud hardware using Nvidia Confidential Computing.

The product targets financial services, healthcare, government, and other regulated sectors whose data often cannot be sent to external AI services because of security, policy, or compliance limits.

Vast said DataEnclave cryptographically attests to the hardware environment before models or data are decrypted.

Nvidia said confidential workloads are decrypted only inside a protected environment during computation.

The company said the system can run in connected or air-gapped environments, which could help sovereign or regional AI cloud providers offer onshore AI services.

The launch comes as regulated sectors seek AI infrastructure that keeps sensitive data on premises or in approved locations.

It also comes as operators in the region move to bring Sovereign AI services to Southeast Asia.

Vast Data was valued at US$30 billion in its series F financing round.
