Tacta Systems, a Palo Alto-based robotics company, said it opened an office and production facility in Singapore’s Woodlands to make its Tacta Glove and support planned deployments of its robotic technology with manufacturers in early 2027.

The glove records workers’ force, motion, and temperature data. Tacta uses that data alongside video to train robotic hands for manufacturing tasks.

Tacta is also working with A*STAR’s Institute of Microelectronics, a Singapore research institute, to scale production of its tactile sensors. The institute supports companies moving toward production through prototyping and pilot-line facilities.

Singapore’s Economic Development Board and EDBI are supporting the expansion. Tacta said EDBI is a strategic investor and an investment arm of SG Growth Capital, the investment platform of the Economic Development Board and Enterprise Singapore.

Tacta said it will add staff in manufacturing, engineering, and test engineering in the fourth quarter.
