US payment firm Yuno opens SG hub, expands to China
Yuno, a global payment orchestration platform headquartered in New York, has opened its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore and launched operations in China.
The company, founded by Juan Pablo Ortega and Julián Núñez – who previously launched Rappi – aims to simplify cross-border payments for merchants.
Yuno says its China operation will offer local merchants access to over 1,000 payment methods and 450 providers in 195 countries through a single API.
The firm has also introduced NOVA, an AI-powered tool designed to help merchants recover failed payments via customer outreach on phone and WhatsApp.
Yuno said that pilot tests of NOVA began in Q2 2025 with select global merchants, and claimed that, in early trials, the tool helped recover up to 75% of failed payments on answered calls.
Yuno, which also has regional hubs in Qatar and London, lists McDonald’s, NetEase Games, GoFundMe, Uber, inDrive, and Rappi among its customers.
