US lawmakers are seeking answers from Futurewei, a US subsidiary of China-based Huawei, about sharing buildings with Nvidia in Silicon Valley.

A letter from leaders of the House Select Committee on China cites a decade of shared addresses between Futurewei and Nvidia at the latter’s Santa Clara headquarters.

The letter says Futurewei held the main lease on three buildings before Nvidia took full control in 2024.

Lawmakers raised concerns about potential Chinese espionage, pointing to a previous incident where Futurewei employees allegedly accessed a Facebook event under false company names after Huawei was denied entry.

The committee is requesting Futurewei submit documents related to its choice of the Santa Clara site and details of any activities involving Nvidia by September 28.

Futurewei is listed as a Huawei subsidiary in recent filings.

Nvidia and Futurewei have not publicly responded to the inquiry.
