US-Israeli VC firm NFX raises $325m to focus on AI startups
NFX, a venture capital firm active in Israel and the US, has raised US$325 million for its fourth fund, bringing its total assets under management to about US$1.5 billion.
The new fund is smaller than its previous US$450 million fund raised in 2021, reflecting a broader drop in startup valuations and early-stage investment levels.
The firm plans to focus new investments on AI, particularly in tools and applications rather than core infrastructure.
Despite regional instability and economic challenges, NFX said Israel’s tech ecosystem is maturing, with funding concentrating in fewer but stronger companies.
Founded in 2015, NFX has backed nearly 200 startups, including Lyft, DoorDash, and Patreon, and remains committed to supporting Israeli startups in the AI sector.

- Series A investors can track new NFX portfolio adds for co-investments, since NFX centers on pre-seed plus seed and has backed nearly 200 startups across Israel, the United States. Levy-Weiss said “more money [is] going into fewer companies, with a focus on quality,” which hints at tighter competition and rewards early movers.
