US game engine giant Unity cuts jobs, scales back in Israel

Unity Technologies is undergoing another round of layoffs as part of its ongoing restructuring.

The company did not disclose the number of affected employees, but reports indicate that entire departments were cut, especially in Israel.

Nadav Ashkenazy, chief revenue officer and head of Unity’s Tel Aviv office, will leave in the coming months.

The layoffs signal a shift in Unity’s ad division, with responsibilities moving to North America.

CEO Matthew Bromberg outlined the need for efficiency, integrating ironSource’s LevelPlay into Unity’s broader operations.

He acknowledged past strategies faced challenges and did not meet expectations.

The revenue organization is being restructured into two global teams, leaving minimal alignment with the Tel Aviv office.
