US data center operator Digital Realty enters Malaysia

Digital Realty plans to acquire the TelcoHub 1 data center in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, marking its entry into Southeast Asia.

The 1.5 MW facility is one of the country’s largest dark-fiber interconnect hubs, hosting over 40 network providers and more than 6,000 fiber cores.

The company also agreed to buy adjacent land that can support up to 14 MW of future IT load.

The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2026, subject to conditions.

The Malaysia campus will be integrated into Digital Realty’s PlatformDIGITAL®, enabling secure and interconnected deployments.
