US data center firm Vertiv, Nvidia advance power systems for AI
Vertiv said it has advanced its 800 VDC power platform designs as part of its collaboration with Nvidia to support future AI data centers.
The US-based digital infrastructure provider plans to release the systems in the second half of 2026, aligning with the expected 2027 rollout of Nvidia Rubin Ultra platforms.
The new platform aims to meet the rising power demands of AI workloads, moving beyond traditional 54 VDC systems.
Vertiv and Nvidia are developing systems that integrate energy storage, centralized rectifiers, DC busways, and rack-level DC-DC converters for large-scale AI and high-performance computing.
Vertiv said it is involved in early design phases for several AI data center projects using its 800 VDC reference architecture and highlighted its global service network of over 4,000 field engineers.
