🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
Singapore hub supports global operations beyond alarm monitoring
- Global Command Center runs alarm plus incident oversight plus site support with customer experience across Digital Realty’s 300+ data centers 1.
- Singapore was picked as an interconnection hub and gateway for data exchange, enabling coordination with teams in the Americas, Europe, Africa 1.
- Digital Realty added technical and operations hires in Singapore, uniting experts in engineering, service delivery and security to support the center 1.
- 24/7 oversight cuts incident impact and lifts reliability while predictive analytics with energy-optimization tools support quick responses for next-gen AI workloads.
Enterprise IT teams can use Singapore’s Oracle connectivity for hybrid AI
- PlatformDIGITAL® (Digital Realty’s global data center and interconnection platform) offers Singapore’s first Oracle Solution Center so enterprises can design, test then validate hybrid architectures and AI deployments pre-rollout 2.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) FastConnect (a dedicated private network link) adds a second on-ramp in Southeast Asia for lower latency with redundancy for hybrid and cloud-adjacent AI workloads (running AI near public clouds, not inside) 2.
- Teams can use the Oracle AI Centre of Excellence in Singapore, a training and best-practices hub where Digital Realty joined as an ecosystem partner at launch this year, to upskill staff then trial AI apps in secure clouds 2.
- Pairing colocation facilities (third-party data centers where companies host hardware) with direct Oracle cloud access lets enterprises meet data gravity needs (keeping large datasets near compute to cut latency plus cost) while using OCI’s AI tools plus infrastructure over dedicated private links 2.
