US bitcoin funds see $5.25b inflows, BlackRock leads

In January 2025, US spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced net inflows of around US$5.25 billion, up from December’s US$4.53 billion, according to SoSoValue.

BlackRock’s IBIT led with US$3.23 billion in inflows, boosting its net assets to US$59.39 billion, a US$7.67 billion increase from the beginning of the month.

Fidelity’s FBTC, the second-largest spot bitcoin ETF in the US, attracted US$1.28 billion, raising its net assets to US$21.76 billion by month-end.

Matt Hougan, chief investment officer at Bitwise, indicated in a social media post that US spot bitcoin ETFs may see over US$50 billion in inflows this year, though potential month-to-month volatility.

In related market activity, bitcoin prices dropped 4.2% in the past 24 hours, trading at US$95,500 as of Feb. 3. Ether also faced significant losses, falling 16.5% to US$2,591.
