US-based drone tech startup raises $100m, valued at $500m

Hidden Level, a drone defense startup based in US, has raised about US$100 million in two recent funding rounds led by Lockheed Martin Ventures and DFJ Growth.

The investment bring the company’s valuation to nearly US$500 million.

Founded in 2018, Hidden Level specializes in passive radar systems that detect and track drones without revealing their own location, addressing growing concerns about drone use in military and civilian settings.

The company secured a 10-year contract with the US Army in 2024, though specific terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

Government clients, particularly the US Army and Air Force, account for most of its revenue, while police and commercial clients make up around 20%.

Hidden Level reported US$5 million in revenue last year and expects to reach US$25 million in 2025.

With the new funding, the company plans to expand more operations and increase manufacturing capacity.
