US AI gaming startup Tryll valued at $6m, launches alpha
Tryll Engine, a startup building on-device AI software for games, said it opened a closed alpha.
The startup recently raised US$600,000 in a pre-seed round from Early Game Ventures. The round values the company at US$6 million.
The company describes itself as on-device AI middleware for game developers.
Tryll said its software runs AI models on players’ hardware instead of remote servers.
The startup said this could let game studios add conversational non-player characters, two-way voice, and other AI features without per-message cloud costs.
Six entertainment companies are building showcase experiences during the alpha and that it is building plugins first for Unreal Engine and Unity.
