Unitree has been profitable since 2020, early investor says

Unitree, China’s leading robotics startup, has remained profitable every year since 2020, according to Zhao Nan, founder of early-stage investment firm SevenUp Capital.

Zhao, who led Unitree’s pre-series A funding round in 2020, reveals a recent conversation with Unitree’s founder and CEO Wang Xingxing that the company has no plans to raise new capital at the moment due to its sustained profitability.

A Unitree spokesperson confirmed the accuracy of Zhao’s statement.

Founded in 2016 and based in Hangzhou, Unitree is best known for its quadruped robots, which are used in industrial, research, and entertainment sectors.
