UnionPay International and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) renewed a three-year partnership on June 2.

The deal aims to support tourism and cross-border payments in Singapore.

The partnership will also target premium and target visitors from mainland China and other regional outbound markets across shopping, dining, attractions, transport, and hospitality.

STB said Singapore received about 16.9 million international visitors in 2025, with mainland China as its largest source market at 3.1 million arrivals.

Mainland China also contributed S$3.68 billion (US$2.88 billion) in tourism receipts from January to September 2025, excluding sightseeing, entertainment, and gaming.

UnionPay said more than 80% of merchants in Singapore already accept its cards.
