US, UK team up on crypto task force for future regulations
Top financial officials from the US and the UK have launched a joint task force to develop policy recommendations for digital assets.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves announced the Transatlantic Taskforce for the Markets of the Future.
The group will explore collaboration on digital assets and capital markets, and plans to release a report in 180 days.
The task force will work with industry partners and report recommendations to both countries’ finance ministries through the UK-US Financial Regulatory Working Group.
