UK spacetech firm Spaceflux nets $7.2m seed round

Spaceflux, a London-based spacetech startup, has raised €6.1 million (US$7.2 million) in seed funding to expand its satellite-tracking network and enhance its AI-driven space situational awareness technology.

The round was co-led by the UK Innovation & Science Seed Fund, Foresight Group, and Blackfinch Ventures.

The company was previously backed by the Seraphim Space Accelerator.

Founded in 2022, Spaceflux offers satellite tracking solutions for government and commercial clients.

It has contracts with the UK Ministry of Defence and the UK Space Agency and has been the sole provider of geostationary satellite tracking since 2023.

Its ground-based optical sensors provide 24/7 coverage, using visible and Short-Wave Infrared imaging for day and night monitoring.
