UK genomics firm OutSee nets $2.3m seed funding

Cambridge-based genomics company OutSee has raised £1.8 million (US$2.3 million) in seed funding.

The funding round was led by Ahren Innovation Capital, with participation from Kadmos Capital, Empirical Ventures, and Panacea Ventures.

OutSee specializes in drug discovery using its AI-based Nomaly technology.

This technology predicts diseases and phenotypes from a single genome through predictive modeling, rather than traditional pattern-matching methods.

The newly secured funds will support OutSee’s in-house target discovery program and establish partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
