The United Kingdom takeover panel has extended the deadline for United States chipmaker Qualcomm’s offer to acquire British semiconductor firm Alphawave IP Group.

The new deadline is now set for May 12, 2025.

This extension allows for ongoing discussions between Alphawave and Qualcomm regarding the potential deal.

According to UK regulations, Qualcomm must submit a formal bid by this new deadline.
