UK data firm Quantexa plans 2026 IPO at over $3b valuation
Quantexa is considering an initial public offering as early as the second half of 2026, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The London-based data and analytics software company may seek a valuation above US$3 billion if it moves forward with the listing.
The US is among the possible venues. Deliberations are still at an early stage, and details such as timing and location have not been finalized.
A Quantexa spokesperson said the company is reviewing strategic options but has not made any decisions regarding an IPO or new funding rounds.
Founded in 2016, Quantexa develops software that analyzes company data to identify risks and business opportunities.
The company employs over 800 people and completed a US$175 million series F round in March 2025 at a US$2.6 billion valuation.
In July, it added Steven Guggenheimer, formerly of Microsoft, and Franck Petitgas, a Morgan Stanley veteran and UK House of Lords member, to its advisory board.

🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ UK tech companies increasingly favor US listings despite strong European IPO history
Quantexa’s consideration of a US listing reflects a broader shift in where European tech companies seek capital, even as Europe historically produces more tech IPOs than America.
Cross-border IPO activity reached a 20-year high in 2025, accounting for 14% of total global deals, with the US emerging as the preferred listing destination 1.
This trend contrasts with Europe’s traditional IPO strength. While European tech has consistently produced more IPOs than the US over several years, US deals capture significantly larger valuations 2.
Europe’s share of global IPO proceeds declined to just 10% in the first half of 2025, while the total market cap of the top 10 US tech IPOs reached $153 billion compared to Europe’s $22 billion 21.
The migration pattern Quantexa is considering follows other major UK tech companies like Wise, Flutter Entertainment, and CRH, suggesting systemic challenges with London’s ability to provide the liquidity and investor base these companies seek at scale.
2️⃣ Quantexa’s 2026 timing aligns with recovering IPO market conditions
