UK auto intelligence firm Pinewood.AI buys Dubai autotech
Pinewood.AI, a UK automotive intelligence platform, is acquiring Dubai-based autotech company Seez for US$46.2 million in cash and shares. The share component will increase over the next three years.
Seez, founded in 2016 by Tarek and Andrew Kabrit, started as a vehicle-recognition app before shifting to AI-powered software for dealerships and manufacturers.
It now operates in 16 global markets, including Mexico and Australia, with US$4.4 million in annual recurring revenue as of December 2024.
Pinewood.AI’s parent company, Lithia Motors Inc., backs the acquisition and plans to integrate Seez’s AI virtual assistant into its global dealership network. This move strengthens its position in the automotive retail sector.
The deal follows Pinewood.AI’s investment in Seez in September 2024 and is expected to expand its presence in North America while advancing AI-driven dealership tools.
