UK AI startup Nscale secures $900m credit facility
Nscale, a UK-based AI infrastructure startup backed by Nvidia, said on July 7 that it had secured a US$900 million revolving credit facility to speed up AI data center construction in Europe, the US, and Asia-Pacific.
Lenders including JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), RBC Capital Markets, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, and Mizuho syndicated the facility.
Nscale, which describes itself as an AI cloud platform spanning software, computing, and power through owned and colocated data centers, said the credit line would provide flexible liquidity.
It did not disclose the facility’s tenor, pricing, or collateral.
Nscale has previously announced a combined US$2 billion in financing at a US$14.6 billion valuation.
Less than two months ago, it also disclosed a separate US$790 million financing for a data center project near Narvik, Norway, where the site is expected to deploy more than 30,000 Nvidia Rubin-series processors.
Nvidia has said Rubin-based products will be available from partners including Nscale in the second half of this year.
