Simple, an AI-powered health coaching app, has raised US$35 million in a series B round led by HartBeat Ventures, the investment firm founded by actor Kevin Hart.

Founded in 2019 by Mike Prytkov, Simple offers personalized weight management support.

In 2023, the company added its AI coach named Avo.

Prytkov said the company has reached US$160 million in annual recurring revenue and 700,000 subscribers.

The app uses large language models to adapt its coaching to each user’s needs and logs over 100,000 coaching chats and nearly 300,000 meal records daily, Prytkov said.
