Ubisoft to cut 70 Singapore jobs after $1.7b annual loss

French video game company Ubisoft said it plans to close RedLynx, its studio in Finland, and cut 70 jobs in Singapore as it seeks to become profitable again.

Ubisoft had already announced dozens of job cuts at RedLynx last year as it refocused the studio on mobile games.

The company said its Singapore studio remained an important part of its global operations.

Ubisoft has been cutting costs since January. In May, it reported a net loss of 1.5 billion euros (US$1.68 billion) for fiscal 2025-26.

It is targeting at least 200 million euros (US$224 million) in spending cuts over two years, on top of 300 million euros (US$336 million) targeted in recent years.
