Uber, in partnership with China’s WeRide, has launched a robotaxi service in Abu Dhabi.

This venture marks Uber’s first international move into autonomous vehicle offerings. The aim is to achieve fully driverless operations by 2025.

Initially, the service will operate in Saadiyat Island, Yas Island, and on routes to Zayed International Airport.

For safety, a human operator will be present in each robotaxi during the launch phase.
