UAE’s Smiles, Tencent Cloud partner for digital commerce
Smiles, a rewards-driven super app operated by e& UAE, has entered into a partnership with Tencent Cloud aimed at boosting digital commerce in the UAE.
This collaboration was announced at the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona.
As part of this partnership, Smiles will implement Tencent Cloud’s Super App as a Service (TCSAS) solution.
This marks the first deployment of such technology in the region and will allow businesses to operate within Smiles as “mini apps,” akin to the model used by China’s WeChat.
This integration is expected to provide consumers with a broader array of services and rewards on a single platform.
