Abu Dhabi-based investment firm MGX is expanding its presence in the United States with new hires from Apollo Global Management and Warburg Pincus.

Andy Pickens has been appointed managing director and AI product lead in MGX’s New York office.

Previously, he was a managing director at Apollo Global, as noted on his LinkedIn profile.

The firm also named David Mamikonyan, formerly with Warburg Pincus, as chief security officer. Emilio Mena Jr., who joined from Wafra Inc., is now managing director for the legal team.
