UAE unveils $1.4t US investment in AI, semiconductors
The UAE has announced a US$1.4 trillion investment framework in the US over the next decade, focusing on AI, semiconductors, energy, and manufacturing.
This follows a meeting between UAE National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan and US President Donald Trump.
While the White House did not detail how the total investment would be reached, some previously announced deals are included in the framework.
New commitments include Emirates Global Aluminium’s plan to build the first US aluminum smelter in 35 years, nearly doubling domestic production.
The UAE sovereign wealth fund ADQ is partnering with Energy Capital Partners on a US$25 billion energy infrastructure deal. ADNOC is also supporting a Texas LNG export facility.
This agreement follows Trump’s request for Saudi Arabia to invest $1 trillion in the US, highlighting the Gulf region’s key role in US economic ties.
