UAE telehealth provider TruDoc raises $15m pre-series B
TruDoc said it raised US$15 million in a pre-series B round that saw significant participation from the Al Nahyan and Al-Ketbi families, alongside continued support from existing investor Pulsar Capital, to expand virtual-first care across the GCC.
TruDoc is a UAE-based virtual-first healthcare provider that said it combines virtual primary care, longitudinal chronic disease management, pharmacy-at-home, diagnostics, in-home services, and a hospital-at-home critical care program.
The company said it operates the largest at-home critical care deployment in the GCC and works with insurers, employers, and government entities in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
TruDoc said the funding will help scale its virtual-first and home-based services to ease hospital demand and support chronic disease management across the region.

🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
TruDoc is an established player backed by a controlling private equity owner
- TruDoc is not new. The company launched in 2011 and said it had served more than 4 million subscribed members across the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region by 2020 1.
- Pulsar Capital is not a minor supporter. It has held a majority, controlling stake in TruDoc since 2023 2.
- The funding backs a product roadmap that includes a “Super Health App” with facial scanning for vital checks, plus AI-powered features such as chat assistance and a lab report summarizer 3.
- The deal also ties to a fast-growing market. The Middle East smart healthcare market is projected to expand from $4.94 billion in 2024 to $15.43 billion by 2033 4.
Healthcare infrastructure is being redefined as a utility, not a destination
- The funding fits a view from an Al Nahyan family office executive that healthcare systems must reach more people without constantly adding buildings 5.
- TruDoc’s “hospital-at-home” model was described in a market report as launched in Saudi Arabia with Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (a healthcare provider affiliated with Saudi Aramco) 4.
- The model moves some hospital-level care into the home, which reduces pressure on facilities 4.
- TruDoc says its “Care Operating System” helps governments, insurers, and employers expand clinical services without tying delivery to a physical site 5.
