U Mobile has expanded its 5G network coverage in Sabah, including areas in Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran, Beaufort, and Kudat, with indoor coverage at key locations like Imago Mall and Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
The company marked this expansion with the CARA U Sabah ULTRA5G Fest, a three-day event from February 6 to 8, featuring performances and activities such as live showcases of ULTRA5G speeds and AI applications like AI Wardrobe and AI Grooming.
The network upgrade aims to improve connectivity, reduce latency, and support enterprise solutions such as IoT, AI, and cybersecurity for sectors including retail and transportation.
U Mobile also opened a new retail store at Kompleks Karamunsing to offer personalized services and devices.
The company plans to continue expanding its 5G infrastructure and collaborate with local partners to support Sabah’s digital development.
