Turkey’s competition authority has fined Alphabet Inc.’s Google 2.61 billion lira (around US$75 million) for abusing its dominant position in the ad server services market.

According to the regulator, Google has favored its own supply-side platform (SSP), hindering competition in the market.

The company has been instructed to resolve this issue within six months by offering third-party SSPs the same conditions as its own services.
