TSMC’s market share hits nearly 65%: report
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) maintained its leadership as the top global pure-play wafer foundry market in Q3, growing its market share to 64.9%, according to Taipei-based TrendForce.
The company reported sales totaling US$23.53 billion, marking a 13% growth from the previous quarter.
This growth was due to strong demand for high-performance computing devices and the launch of flagship smartphone products, according to the report.
Increased usage of production capacity and higher wafer shipments also contributed to the revenue rise.
