Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) said at its annual shareholders’ meeting in Hsinchu on June 4 that it is confident about growth over the next few years.

The company said demand for computing power and advanced chips continues to rise as the AI adoption expands.

Chief Executive C.C. Wei said wider adoption of AI models across consumer, enterprise, and sovereign AI applications is increasing demand for advanced semiconductors. He added that TSMC’s customers remain positive about the AI industry.

The comments followed TSMC’s April decision to raise its annual revenue forecast and increase capital spending this year to meet demand.
