TSMC operations resume after Taiwan earthquake
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) has confirmed that all of its facilities are operational after a 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck southern Taiwan on Jan. 21.
The quake, which was centered in a mountainous area, resulted in light injuries and minor damage, according to authorities.
TSMC reported that workers at some sites in central and southern Taiwan were evacuated as a precaution.
Structural inspections have confirmed the safety of these facilities, and operations are gradually returning to normal.
The company noted that water supply, power, and workplace safety systems are functioning.
