TSMC July revenue jumps 45% as AI demand stays strong
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) said its July revenue rose 45% year on year to NT$467.58 billion (US$14.5 billion), pointing to continued demand for AI hardware despite recent market volatility.
Analysts on average expect current-quarter sales to grow 46.8%, after TSMC said last month that it expects full-year sales growth of slightly more than 40% in US dollar terms.
The company also expects US$60 billion to US$64 billion in capital spending in 2026.
TSMC’s scale makes its monthly sales a broad indicator for the chip industry. TrendForce said TSMC held 69.9% of the global foundry market in 2025, far ahead of Samsung Electronics’ 7.2% share.
AI remains central to that growth. High-performance computing products accounted for 57% of TSMC’s wafer sales in its latest reported quarter, while TrendForce said the company continues to expand its CoWoS advanced packaging capacity.
TSMC shares are about 5% below their late-June peak but remain up more than 50% this year as investors weigh concerns about data center overcapacity and returns on AI spending.
