TSMC, Foxconn adopt Nvidia RTX Pro Servers for AI
TSMC and Hon Hai Precision Industry Co (Foxconn), two major Taiwanese electronics manufacturers, have adopted Nvidia’s RTX Pro Servers to support their AI workloads.
Nvidia said its RTX Pro Servers, which use up to eight RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs, are now available from leading system suppliers.
The company said that enterprise customers, including TSMC, Hon Hai, Pegatron, Quanta Cloud Technology, and Wistron, are using these servers to upgrade to AI-focused infrastructure without fully rebuilding their data centers.
Other global firms, such as Siemens, Hitachi, Hyundai Motor Group, Walt Disney, and Eli Lilly, have also adopted the servers, according to Nvidia.

🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ AI infrastructure demand reaches even the most advanced manufacturers
TSMC’s adoption of Nvidia RTX Pro Servers highlights how AI infrastructure needs are expanding across all enterprise functions, even for companies already at the cutting edge of AI implementation.
TSMC has been using AI and machine learning in its manufacturing processes since at least 2019, achieving full automation and reducing cycle times by at least 50% through smart manufacturing initiatives1.
Yet the company is now adopting Nvidia’s RTX Pro Servers alongside other major Taiwanese manufacturers like Hon Hai, Pegatron, Quanta Cloud, and Wistron, suggesting these systems address different AI workloads beyond manufacturing optimization.
This indicates that even companies with sophisticated internal AI capabilities need specialized infrastructure for broader enterprise AI applications like reasoning, physical AI, and business workloads that Jensen Huang describes as requiring enterprises to “re-architect for AI.”
2️⃣ Enterprise AI infrastructure spending acceleration reflects urgent competitive pressure
The rapid adoption of enterprise AI systems like Nvidia’s RTX Pro Servers reflects unprecedented market growth that’s creating competitive urgency across industries.
The AI hardware market exploded from $17 billion in 2022 to $125 billion in 2024, while 90% of IT leaders are now deploying generative AI with 81% of C-suite executives directly driving these initiatives23.
This acceleration is backed by massive projected spending, with Nvidia predicting global AI infrastructure capital investments will reach $3-4 trillion by the end of the decade4.
The diverse industry mix of RTX Pro Server adopters—spanning semiconductor manufacturing (TSMC), electronics (Hon Hai), automotive (Hyundai), pharmaceuticals (Eli Lilly), and entertainment (Disney)—demonstrates that AI infrastructure investment has become a cross-industry imperative rather than a sector-specific trend.
